Using ColorCheker and the automated software that comes along with it, helps "translating" the color that the camera sees and interprets under a set of lighting conditions to how the colors would look to a perfect eye under the light of the sun. Artificial lights change color over time, it could be only a white balance issue, but it also might be a shift in how they interfere with the color spectrum. I photograph it at the beginning of each session, to compensate for any slight shifts in light quality that might happen over time that my eye would probably compensate and making me unaware of them.
